Quaren is the second son of Duke Viphta who is also a renowned fire mage.
Appearance
Quaren is a handsome young man with short wavy orange hair inherited from his mother and golden eyes like his father. He's said to resemble the Duchess a lot, but he has no resemblance to the Duke since he isn't his real son[1]. But since he has golden eyes like the Duke, it's difficult to discover that he's an illegitimate child. Quaren seems to be a tall man with broad shoulders, and often wears a black jacket with gold borders on top of his white vest. He's rarely shown to wear luxurious clothes befitting a Duke's son.

Synopsis
Quaren doesn't have the Viphta family's blood since he was conceived by his mother through another man. He went to the academy and avoided coming home because he hated being at home where his older half brother didn't care about him and his father kept him only as a temporary child[2]. When Adele came in as the late Karena's substitute during his childhood, he wanted to get close to her but inadvertently bullied her. He felt that both of them were in the same boat since they were kept only temporarily in the Viphta duchy[1], and hence wanted to get close to her so that they can be there for each other when they're thrown out of the duchy.
